Belur is a village 3.5 hours drive away from Bangalore city and about 20 Kms away from Hassan (town). Belur is known for its temple with hand carved sculpture. The drive to Belur is pleasant. Moreover there are many other ancient temples around Belur which have gone unnoticed. Chikamagalur is a nice town to stay 20 kms away from Belur. The coffee estates and the pleasant climate make it an ideal holiday spot.
